From 1977 to the present day

A long and passionate story.

It begins with Luciano Tiso, the founder of the company, who, as a young man, worked as a labourer in a methacrylate casting company. He learned about all the techniques and secrets of this ductile plastic material there.

1977

The foundation

Luciano Tiso founded the company in a 200 m² warehouse in Vigodarzere (PD) and called it Metalplex. Together with his three employees, he worked in the world of luminous signs and aquariums. They mostly did manual work, with cutters and polishing brushes. When the company started to expand, Luciano decided to change its name to Stylplex.

1996

The new site and the first laser cut

Stylplex moved to a 800 m2 warehouse in Vigodarzere. Luciano’s two children, Loris and Luana, joined the management group. Over subsequent years the amount of work increased. The company bought its first laser cutting machine and began to hire other employees.

1998

New collaborations

Flavio, Luana’s husband, joined the workforce and immediately took on a fundamental role, dealing, in fact, with estimates and the production of special designs.

2001

The generational shift

The premature death of Luciano, the founder, left a great void among the family and all the staff. Luciano’s children, Loris and Luana, took over the management of Stylplex, devoting their time to the company with all the commitment and passion that their father had passed on to them.

2007

Investments in quality

The Tiso family decided to expand their business and invest in technology. So Stylplex bought two CNC lasers and three work centres including one with five axes and larger worktops. The aim was to keep up with the times and increase the machining quality.

2021

The new site

Stylplex moved to its current location, a 3,500 m2 warehouse in Arsego di San Giorgio delle Pertiche (PD) powered by 2,500 m2 of solar panels. This choice confirmed the company’s aptitude for growth and innovation and its increasing sensitivity to environmental sustainability.

2023

The era of 3D additive printing

Thanks to an agreement with Breton, Stylplex acquired the Breton Genesi 3D printer and became a Breton specialist centre for large-format 3D additive printing on thermoplastic materials. This was a pioneering choice and opened up new interesting scenarios for the company.

2024

The expansion of the site

Stylplex got even bigger as the company bought a new warehouse adjacent to the main site and extended its operating space by another 2,800 m2.

Our primary vocation: methacrylate.

Methacrylate, commonly known as Plexiglas®, is a material with multiple strengths. It is the foundation on which our company is built and has been our core business for over 45 years.

We have been applying ethical behaviour for a long time now and have set ourselves concrete and measurable short- and long-term goals.

This includes, in particular, large-format additive printing, a technique that allows the reduction of waste and the recycling of plastic materials to give them new life.
