Plexiglas® and derivatives

Plexiglas® and derivatives: Properties and applications
Methacrylate, better known as Plexiglas®, is our primary vocation. However, we process many other plastics with similar properties and unique performance features.
On this page you will find the list of materials we specialize in and all their applications.

Plexiglas®
Methacrylate
Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), better known as Plexiglas®, is a rigid and transparent material with excellent clarity.
It can be coloured in a wide range of colours, making it ideal for light transmission and diffusion effects.
It is chemically resistant and accumulates less dirt due to its smooth, non-porous surface.
In addition, PMMA is easy to machine and to heat-mould, allowing high levels of customization.
Thanks to all these qualities, it is used in many applications, such as furnishing, industry and signage. It is also widely used for prestigious designs, such as advertising displays and display cases.

Plexiglas® derivatives
Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate has many properties: exceptional shock resistance, thermal stability and high light transmission, as well as lightness and transparency.
It is easy to machine and can be curved and bent without heat.
It is used in various sectors and is safe for food contact; it is used for refrigerated cabinets, machinery, signs, roofs and railings.
In addition, compact UV-protected polycarbonate sheets are ideal for outdoor use, being virtually unbreakable and offering better thermal and acoustic insulation than glass.

Plexiglas® derivatives
PETG
PETG is a recyclable thermoplastic resin. It is safe for food contact and is impact resistant.
It is easy to thermoform and print. It is also versatile and suitable for many applications.
PETG has a bright and glossy finish making it ideal for displays, price tags, signage, lettering and food containers.

Plexiglas® derivatives
PVC - Polyvinyl Chloride
PVC is a synthetic thermoplastic. It is light but rigid, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and water-repellent.
It is recyclable, ideal for digital printing and very versatile. Versatile enough to be one of the most widely used plastic materials in the world.

Plexiglas® derivatives
Polyethylene
Polyethylene is a material that combines rigidity, toughness and thermal resistance.
It is resistant to wear and abrasion and is easy to weld.
It is available in white, black or different colours.
It is used in the food industry and is suitable for mechanical, chemical and electrical applications.
